My Top 60-NBA Draft 2009-Thursday

My Top 60 board,
of sixty picks and
30 teams and 2 picks
unless traded or otherwise.

1-Blake Griffin...No question the most explosive athlete can his nagging injuries stay away?
2-Ricky Rubio...Can abuse smaller guards, a nice fluid basket-baller!

3-Hasheem Thabeet...So he lost two inches when measured, he is still a dominant force in the middle and more mobile than past years picks, ahem Oden.

4-James Harden is a unorthodox type guy with his skills as a lefty, can he get the separation at the next level?

5-Stephen Curry...Should do well in switching to the point.
6-Demar DeRozan
7-Terrence Williams excites me, but at times looks like he is playing a baller and isn't natural.
8-Brandon Jennings
9-Jrue Holiday...I am not as high as most with this guy, I loved Westbrook last year coming out of UCLA, but needs another year and could have had it with Collison coming out also.
10-Tyreke Evans
11-Earl Clark a favourite of mine as the possibilities are limitless, but only if he is challenged and offensively doesn't become stagnant.
12-Chase Budinger
13-Johnny Flynn...Battle with UConn made his stock rise to a lottery pick.
14-James Johnson
15-Austin Daye...If someone misses out on Clark look for Daye to go higher than expected.
16-Eric Maynor was the key cog and can handle the load at the next level.

17-Gerald Henderson...Vince Carter when he gets a reliable jumper or just Dahntay Jones?
18-DaJuan Blair...Size doesn't matter unless your arms are short!

19-Jeff Teague...Length will get him off board.
20-Jordan Hill...Big man, but needs PG to lead him to the basket.
21-Dante Cunningham...Linton Johnson type? Lets hope better.
22-Ty Lawson...The next coming of Jameer Nelson?
23-Patty Mills
24-Tyler Hansbrough...Hybrid Mark Madsen, can finish well around basket.
25-Sam Young
26-Darren Collison...My Favourite PG in the draft!
27-Omri Casspi
28-Nick Calathes
29-DeMarre Carroll...A solid swing nicknamed junkyard dog, cuts close as a Raptors fan.
30-BJ Mullens...Raw but could do well in a few years.

That's the First 30 and the first round of my projections.
Now for those die-hards that want to see their guys and if they have a shot at getting drafted or at least a summer league tryout, please keep reading and for those who just want to get their feet wet, thanks for visiting and I invite healthy comments to start great conversations and feel free to compare and post hints and live updates.

Now picks 31 through 60->Mr. Unlucky has been coined as this is the beginning of non-guaranteed contracts.
31-Danny Green
32-DaJuan Summers
33-Jodie Meeks...If I could I'd get this guy, who is a good contributor at the two and will excel.
34-Derrick Brown
35-Wayne Ellington...Undersized two, should find a role.
36-Patrick Beverley
37-Marcus Thornton
38-Taj Gibson...Good low post scorer. I look to see what he turns into.

39-AJ Price...Injuries and unselfishness hurt his stock, a solid guy, similar type player as Chris Duhon.
40-Milenko Tepic
41-Victo Claver
42-Dionte Christmas
43-Paul Harris is a feisty player I like, but size may limit him to the D-League.
44-Jeff Pendergraph
45-Jermaine Taylor

46-Jack McClinton...A top guy in my books but didn't realize that he's only 6'1", that will hurt as he plays solely as a two, will tear up any league, accept the NBA I imagine, sad but true.

47-Jerel McNeal
48-Josh Heytvelt...A big that will get drafted, for sure.
49-Leo Lyons
50-Alade Aminu
51-Joe Ingles...A boy needing seasoning in the elite leagues before he comes over, seek example, Luke Jackson, Cavs lottery pick, turned D-League Vet.

52-Jon Brockmon
53-Jeremy Pargo...underrated, decent size and a good pick-up as a third PG.
54-Robert Dozier
55-Josh Shipp...Arron Afflalo found his role, why not Josh?
56-AJ Abrams

57-Eric Devendorf...Should have stayed at the 'Cuse and took over for Flynn, a team may take a flier on this prospect, raw talent ready to be molded.

58-Jeff Adrien...@ 6'6" it's tough, but could come up from the D.

59-Antonio Anderson...Punished for staying in school?

60-Taylor Griffin...I started with a Griffin and I'll end with one. A forgotten one with the praise all to his brother, this dude can play.

Am located in North America and have not seen the international prospects for the most part, but have included a few notable ones throughout the sixty.

Feel free to comment, if you feel the need and get excited, because I am!
