Feelin' NICE almost posted twice
I am going to delve into the issue of writing. I try to get away from things every once and a while but still regain the itch for something new to print out.
The real reason I have chosen to become a writer is that, honestly I can't stop as crazy as that sounds. I know that if I put my laptop, pens, paper and typewriter away, that I will just come back to it and regret the time I have wasted not writing.
The number one thing that keeps me going is all the wonderful support I receive from all the communities I work for and frequent in my spare time. The internet is its own monster, but I have grown to embrace the good, bad and the not so pleasant.
All of you who communicate through the internet with your comments and well wishes, I am thankful and would like to dedicate this post to all those people who I write about and give me the inspiration to keep on writing about the topics I like to write about.
I noticed a well-wisher at the above site and would like to offer some link love and get some of my readers to read about someone who enjoys writing as I do. http://reneespages.blogspot.com/

MySpace 2 ?
Most believe that MySpace will be replaced by its second coming that requies you to pay a 22.50$ monthly fee starting as soon as 2009.
None of the emails or messages are as funny as the one posted on Snopes.com where they claim that 'Tom', the guy that is your very first friend is going into debt as site costs continue to accumulate, but if I remember correctly isn't he just running the site after selling MySpace for billions of dollars?
So anyone asking me to join any group to save free space. Please stop and realize that these social sites should not be so important that you would lose yourself if they shut down.
Sports News -> 24 years young
I am stunned at this as I have just lost a former teammate and classmate myself in the last week. Shocking in my young life that I can't recall another person that I have grown to know so much die and for it to be one of my peers. Although I am a realist in the fact that I know that this will not be the last in my life.
Today I would like to talk about the football player in #21. Most will and have said that he has had a troubled past and rarely reaches out to others. But I have heard great things from the people who know him best. He was an outstanding football player my type of guy I would want on my team a hard-hitter, bone cruncher and just my kind of DB I would want on my defense.
Drafted 5th overall by the Redskins, he was given full confidence from the new regime at the 'skins as he was their very first pick on the job. Taylor is still up at the top in INTs with 5, even though he had missed a few games already.
At the age of 24 he is the fourth to die at that age in the NFL just this year, think about that.

-I wonder whats the reason that the blog that covers a bunch of topics as apposed to one main topic, like sports? I am about to start a blog and would like to know which way to go
Dear-I guess no name
I find that anything that I do needs to have my personality, which is a myriad of interests and passions.
As for starting your own blog, good luck and go with what feels right, one main topic is always easier and may become more popular, but you are only attracting a specific type of visitor for your topic. If you have a main passion go with it. I had thought about having more than one blog for different topics, decided against it, I have my reasons.

- W/out a track, the Roller Derby looks dangerous. The bodies must be flying everywhere.
They do have a track laid out with lines. But not the slightly tilted track that I am used to, with railings and being able to be checked and pushed over them, so this one seems to be a little more tame so more people can skate.
Thanks for the comment and I have seen your views and recommend to others to check out your blog @ http://theviewsoftheallseeingeyeviews.blogspot.com/
-I was wondering why their aren't any posts about the Red Sox on your blog as your work listed is mostly about Boston?
Dear Red Sox Nation
I had worked for a site called SoxNest, that was a very fun upancoming community, that I was promoted to Contributing Editor of. I worked during the young season as you can probably tell with the tone of my articles. But the site owner decided to sell and the new owners were of the mind that they wanted a lot more posts for a lot less money, so I had to move on. PS-> I am a die-hard Blue Jays fan.

Thirst for Knowledge Thursday
World News Wednesday
I am not surprised by the outpour of support, but am in a way with the celebrity presence, but without writers they have nothing better to do, I guess. Hopefully from this day forth writers will get the respect they deserve rather than lowly workers on the star actors TV show.
I wonder if his speech was written by a writer?

My city Monday
I guess a big story is that Bon Jovi is performing at the JLC tonight, which is our hockey arena seating oh give or take 9,000+ fans. But with the stage cutting the place in half and fans on the floor who knows. Also the Foo Fighters have just announced that they will be doing an acoustic set there in March so I will try and catch that one for sure.
Our university of Western football team is in morning after losing 52-20 at the hands of the Manitoba Bisons, to end their season, which was surprising starting the year losing their first four and then running the table to get to the semi's, crazy.
We are dealing with a sinkhole in the sewer system and some have said that the Performing arts centre should go away to pay for losses the city will have to incur. But the city and Mayor have stated that it won't affect the plan for the new development.
I would hope that it wouldn't as I will look forward to the important step of growing the arts here in London.
Roller Derby has made it's way to the Forest City playing their first game at the Western Fair’s Canada Building. Shocking as 800 people attended this one time event for '07. I remember the last time I saw the derby, I am not quite old enough to have seen the first days of the sport, but I have seen the rebirth attempts made on tv, most notably on the old station TNN, where they would have a sort of tilted track instead of a flat track and railings to get checked over and some had roller blades also. They would have 4 periods I believe and have women and men on the same team, not skating together but taking turns as in Men periods 2 and 4 with women 1-3. It was very exciting, as was a new sport I fell ion love with that has moved to the extreme action channel or something which was SLAMBALL, the greatest sport ever. Breaking news Toronto has made a trade!
______________________________________________
-Though not the huge deal for the Leafs or the Raps it is the Blue-birds sending two pitching prospects to the Oakland A's for a great utility guy to no question, backup Johnny Mc and Aaron Hill in the middle of the diamond. A solid deal as Riciardi didn't want to overpay for over aged talent through free-agency, when John McDonald showed his worth last season.
Godfrey and Bell go to the A's where they will most likely battle their way to AA ball. Scutaro will add an exciting bat to the lineup not in the way you think as he has been Mr.Clutch for the A's the last few years. Scutaro batting .260 will be a solid addition, just don't lean on him to, too much.
The Athletics are looking to bring into action 24 yr old Donnie Murphy, to bring him into the Utility role that Scutaro had.
SWS->Coyotes, shark bitten of late but impress as they blank the Kings 1-0 to win
The team has claimed and gotten Goaltender Ilya Bryzgalov off of waivers from the Anaheim Ducks. He is most notably known for his comments after games defending Chris Pronger also, as his high-pitched voice brings a smile to most who listen to his post-game comments. But yet another number two goalie that Phoenix will tryout. Aebisher, Tellqvist and Auld have not taken the spot away from one another, though Tellqvist has posted good numbers that took a hit when facing the Sharks as over three straight the Coyotes lost by a total of 15-1, which is inconceivable. Bryzgalov has the best numbers averaging I believe a half goal less per game on his GAA.
I for one am intrigued by this acquisition and will like to see what he brings to the table before-during and after games. The Coyotes play the second half of a home and home against the Kings Wednesday November 21st.
SWS->'Zona overachieving or reality?
Really putting up the points today as they have showed the Bengals how awful their defense really is. But making it close in the end is a real fault and will land you at best 8-8 if you continue to choke in the clutch.
Turnovers continue to plague this mediocre team also. The Bengals get a huge play blocking a punt and returning it for a touchdown to make it a 1pt game 28-27 AZ.
Okay, here we go Bengals ball on their own 32 and under 2 mins left in the 4th, now is our shot to show the NFL that we can contend and stop teams to win in the end. Inside AZ's 50, 2nd and a few. 1st down Chad Johnson to the 36. Starting to get nervous, but they still need a two-pt convert. PENALTY Ghiaciuc on the Bengals ten yards, yeah try and say that name, jeez. Over fifty pass attempts for Palmer now. Yeah oh man Antrell Rolle intercepts to save the Cardinals in the end. The Bengals are surely done at 3-7 and the Cards are at 5-5 and in the hunt with the Seahawks. They will just need to win those games they should like next week vs SF 49ers. Five turnovers for Cincy and none for Cardz, clearly the big issue of the game.
SWS->Toronto Raptors winning the games they are supposed to...
Jamario Moon a surprising role player, makes me enjoy watching great team basketball. Chris Bosh is the man, the leader and Max'd out contract wise, but he is not the dominant ball hog as other teams superstars are. That is what makes this team work, Everyone can shoot and the offense is unstoppable when clicking. The defense is continually a work in progress. Moon, Delfino and Bosh are making strides to get this year's side up to a respectable rank.
Toronto's next test is the team that lost to the surprising Warriors of last year's playoffs, Tuesday, November 20th at 830pm ET.

The future is now...Well at least for this blog.
I would also like to get my voice out there, meaning my city, my place, my world. London, Ontario, Canada is the place where I have spent the first quarter-century of my life.
I will be adding new posts at least semi-daily if not more. I will be adding a playlist of the week post.
