WGA writers strike is the issue up front for this post. I have followed the status, but have found that having an actor has pumped up the troops for the long haul. The big issue in question is revenue streams, as in new media and the way it is dispersed as writers make their fee's and salaries without making the profits seen from their efforts.
I am not surprised by the outpour of support, but am in a way with the celebrity presence, but without writers they have nothing better to do, I guess. Hopefully from this day forth writers will get the respect they deserve rather than lowly workers on the star actors TV show.
I wonder if his speech was written by a writer?
