The NFL has its mildly exciting beginning to the spring with its annual draft taking place over today and tomorrow.
I have put together my own mock draft as I felt I needed to get back into the game I couldn't get enough of past the bowl season. So here it is below. Keep in mind that I have scouted the players based on personal preference and best avaiable at all positions not based on what teams pick where, think of it as having no players on the roster and just needing players at all positions.
#1->Calvin Johnson (consensus number one- best player in my mind)
2-JaMarcus Russell (top QB but Johnson edges forward)
3-Brady Quinn (could slip but would have him in top 5)
4-Amobi Okoye (risen and the more I see the higher he goes)
5-Joe Thomas (best o-liner, will be solid)
6-Adrian Peterson (number one RB collarbone injury makes him slide)
7-Leon Hall (One of my favourites, but Jarrett my #3 WR lit him up this year)
8-Adam Carriker (surprising switch but I still like him more than Adams)
9-Jamaal Anderson (Adams and him could flip-flop just my preference)
10-Gaines Adams (a bit late but its my draft!)
11-Levi Brown (good fit for any team)
12-Patrick Willis (no doubtedly the top LB)
13-Alan Branch (should be a solid pro)
14-Ted Ginn Jr (another fav.)
15-Dwayne Jarrett (big time guy that would solidify any receiving field)
16-Ryan Kalil (O-liner surprisingly rising-PS has anyone seen the Will Ferrell with him piece?)
17-Brandon Meriweather (I still like him more than Landry)
18-LaRon Landry(slides on my board)
19-Marshawn Lynch (good pick at 19)
20-Aaron Ross (a stretch but i'd take him)
21-Chris Houston (will be good)
22-Joe Staley (look for late 1st rnd)
23-Jon Beason (in need of LB in first round)
24-Darrelle Revis (with Eric Wright's troubles)
25-Reggie Nelson (clutch!)
26-Steve Smith (not Car's Smith but still a role player)
27-Greg Olsen (projected higher and lower late first sounds right)
28-Justin Harrell (my #3 DE)
29-Dwayne Bowe (proj. early 20s)
30-Robert Meachum (always have the WR in the first round it seems)
31-Jarvis Moss (#4 after big three DE)
32-Ben Grubbs (Inj.Report goes like this hasn't missed a game but does have some allergies) lol
So that is it a labour of love and a of my picks but for myself in the first day but not first round.

QB- ranked accordingly the Heisman winner Troy Smith, Mich. St Stanton and Florida product Chris Leak.
RB-Antonio Pittman, Lynch and Tony Hunt.
DE-Quentin Moses once ranked tops among ends, Crowder is rising ahead of Spencer.
LB- Inside and out has to be Harris, Durant, DeOssie and Timmons just missed my top 32. Posluszny is good but as a backup player not excited as most about him.
S-Weddle and Griffin should go high today.
Justin Blalock is high on most books, Tony Ugoh is also very good.
